Wilderness Foods First Honey Harvest

Last week, the first batch of 80 hives was harvested for Wilderness Foods, a joint effort by Wilderness Gate and FARM STEW International. The initiative, launched to support mission work, has begun to yield generous results.

The harvest started Wednesday in Masase village. This project directly benefits 40 households that earned Farm Stew Certification. Each family received two hives in November 2023 and an additional three in November 2024.

The harvesting process will continue until early February, providing a steady supply of honey while empowering local communities. The next harvest is set for June, when 200 hives will be ready for collection.

This isn’t just about honey. It’s about sustainability, empowerment, and mission-focused progress. Every jar harvested represents growth for families and support for the mission.
